Monkey Island 3 is the latest in the Monkey Island Series. It has been
livened up to new standards of gaming with
high quality graphics and character voices. This game is excellent and
the quality of graphics and sound is amazing.
However despite another great classic storyline the game in my opinion
was too easy. I found that I was never really
stuck as i had been in the last game and i felt things were a bit too small.
What I mean by this was you could only do
one puzzle at a time and there wasnt that huge amount of stuff to do like
in MI2. I completed this game relatively
quickly and despite a high level of humour involved I thought it was too
easy. In terms of the story we begin
with Guybrush sitting in the middle of the ocean drifting on a small er...boat.
He sights land and then is picked up
by the Demon Pirate LeChuck. When LeChuck drops a Voodoo Cannonball on
the deck of his ship and destroys
him and his crew Guybrush escapes with a huge diamond ring from the treasure
chamber. He gives it to Elaine and
asks her to marry him however he doesnt realise that there is a voodoo
curse on the diamond ring which turns
Elaine into a solid gold statue. I would give CMI 9 out of 10 despite the
easiness.
