[2] TIGI NESS:
Tigi Ness is a Niuean Poet whose poetry is rich in life experiences. Who has been supportive and active with arts development projects amongst Pacific communities. A deeply spiritual man of the Rastafarian faith. Political activist from his Polynesian Panthers day with firm views on social justice. Strong advocate of Tanagata whenua and indigenous peoples struggles. Recently Tigi has been working in local inner city schools sharing his poetry and doing workshops.

Tigi is also a renowned singer song writer of the Pacific Reggae scene. His long awaited debut album “From Street To Sky” with Unity Pacific in 2002 was ground breaking. Former band leader of the legendary 12 Tribes reggae band who were pioneering reggae in Aotearoa with Herbs during the late 1970s. Developing the Pacific Reggae sound unique to the Pacific region. [3] JOHN PULEITU aka JP:
JP was born in Samoa but has lived most of his life here in Aotearoa. He is an extremely talented artist from dancer, choreographer, actor, visual artist, music producer, singer song writer, and instrumentalist. Providing the background sounds to being the front person for the musical interludes. Currently working on his band E.P.R.’s debut EP. EPR’s debut video “Play My Music” was praised for its organic green image which stood out against a flood of American style urban stereotypes. Critics also noted it was refreshing and distinctly environmental New Zealand. As an independent it did really well on C4’s most requested video.

JP produced Mua’s 2004 Pasifika Hip Hop Poetry CD which was the only Aotearoa poetry CD released last year. JP is also producing some exciting new Hip Hop artists. JP and Feleti have been the musical support act for their family Ministry and Community work. JP has performed throughout Aotearoa, Australia, and Fiji. JP is a new breed of Pacific artist who has come through the Church and Pacific Community scene now making in roads into mainstream. JP and Feleti give ALA the inter generational dimension that celebrates being young Pasifikans.

[4] FELETI STRICKSON-PUA:
Feleti is of Samoan Chinese and English heritage. A poet, concept designer, and Hip Hop composer and MC. A successful Hip Hop artist: Nesian Mystik 2003 winner of APRA and NZ Music Award, Fresh Dialects winner of 2001 Smokefree Pacifica Beats National Secondary Schools Maori & Pacific Islands Contemporary Music, and EPR winner of 2001 National Christian Battle of the Bands C.T.C. comp.

Feleti is a song writer who is passionate about Pasifika Hip Hop being a force for positivity and hope. With cousin JP they have been the music foundation of Pasifika Poets Collective on going productions. Giving PPC an edge with younger audience and being a bridge with older fans. JP and Feleti play an important role of putting that Pasifika Hip Hop style to the overall production but also hooking up younger audience with performance poetry island styles. They are the Simon and Garfunkel and Seals and Croft of this Pasifika Urban generation with a Hip Hop twist.
