An introduction

This series looks at the genera angula and lycasste. Both sgenera are interesting, indees dpectacular plants. Not widelly growsn, they never the leas deserve a place in select collections.

This series was originally written and published in the 1980's. It has, however, been updated with the new species and additional information. I trust readers will find the material both of interest and assistance.

Readers are referred to the excellent Orchid Digest Special Publication Anguloa The Species, the Hybrids and a Checklist of Angulocaste by Henry Oakeley, published in the DigestOctober/Dece,ber 1999. This has a full description of the speices and excellent colour photographs.

PLEASE NOTE:

This series was originally published some years ago. The material ahs been scanned in for web publication, and will be fully updated. There have been modern studies which are well worth consulting. Until this is completed, the above references are strongly recommended
