‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i

This keyboard definition supports the upper and lower case macron (kahakō) characters, as well as the ‘okina glottal stop.
It uses the Unicode character set, and can be used on any Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 machine.

This keyboard definition is based on the standard US keyboard layout and uses the [AltGr] + Key method to generate extended characters.
e.g.

ā [AltGr] + [a]
ē [AltGr] + [e]
ī [AltGr] + [i]
ō [AltGr] + [o]
ū [AltGr] + [u]
Ā [AltGr] + [Shift] + [a]
Ē [AltGr] + [Shift] + [e]
Ī [AltGr] + [Shift] + [i]
Ō [AltGr] + [Shift] + [o]
Ū [AltGr] + [Shift] + [u]
[AltGr] + ['/" (single quote)]


In almost all respects this keyboard definition is the same as the Māori keyboard layouts, so the information and setup instructions in the Māori Keyboard Layouts section apply.
