The Woolshed
. . . is a farm of 136 acres situated on the hills of Pukerua Bay looking over Kapiti Island. It is clothed in approximately 40 acres of native bush, including some of the last remaining stands of kohekohe on the Kapiti Coast. The Woolshed is gardened organically - herbs, vegetables and fruit - and has three springs of clear water. It is a place of great peace, tranquility and energy and a wonderful place for retreat.
August / September 2010
Greetings All,
Happy Imbolc! My house smells divine – there are bunches of spring flowers everywhere – freesias, narcissus, jonquils and daffodils – to gladden our hearts and bring the blessings of early Spring. I haven’t seen a new lamb yet but as Imbolc means ‘ewe’s milk’ they can’t be far away
Now with tender pencilled cup,
And with triple wings of white,
Snowdrop-maidens flutter up,
Wakened from the winter’s night.
Celandines are full of sun,
Daffodils in gardens shine,
And the sap begins to run
Thro’ the tufted eglantine.
