There are important words in Ephesians 4.4-6: “There is one body and one Spirit, as also there is one hope held out in God's call to you... one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” How many times have we recited, “As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be”? What does “all” mean? Christians? Christians of my particular theological persuasion? It is painful to see liberals and conservatives wanting to disenfranchise each other as Christians. There is one God, God of all - including Islam, Taoists and all else, maybe the God of other worlds. Any group of Christians thinking that they have fully grasped the truth about God, as opposed to another group of Christians who quote differing passages of Scripture, have not fully grasped that truth. There is ONE psychophysical reality that can be perceived within any particular faith community and thought about from the perspective of its particular spiritual heritage, and outside that faith community. It is the same reality. Garth Moore, former president of the Churches' Fellowship for Psychical and Spiritual Studies, makes this point most tellingly in his Christianity and Psychical Research. As we are dealing with one psychophysical reality, whatever happens in that reality is natural, there is no supernatural and no miraculous. Miracles are not against nature, but against known nature. Victor Zammit presents a new chapter that is to be added to his The Book, called Quantum Physics and the Afterlife. Once again the One Reality is here being affirmed. Especially if you have not made a study of possible spiritual implications of Quantum Physics, you will find this a very helpful overview. The Rev Dr. David Bell contributes an interesting article on Astrology and the Bible. A controversial topic, but one thing that Astrology does do is assert the One Reality where physical and spiritual are bound together as one. Astrology if valid can be classified as an example of Synchronicity, Meaningful Coincidence, and can also be understood under the heading of Jungian archetypes. Under Experience Victor Zammit describes an event that happened at the end of June 2006, where well-known “dead” persons communicate in apparent physicality to Zammit and other researchers. To some little degree it parallels the apparently bodily appearances of Jesus to his disciples and others, after the crucifixion.
In general it is to be hoped that readers will recognise that those who produce this journal, and those who contribute to it, are deeply committed Christians, and have been so most of their lives. They would affirm that it is central to them that their main focus is following Christ, together with Love of God and of Neighbour. They are affirming that Christ is central, and they would agree that in many respects churches are teaching and doing what they ought to be doing. They are also affirming that Christ is universal, and that his activities are not confined to the churches and to people who call themselves Christians, that there is One God in all through all and above all.
Bill Wallace's The Sacred Energy - Mass of the Universe celebrates this.
Here is an excerpt from the whole article, which describes much of the main thrust of this journal.
“...in establishing the existence of the non-material the contribution of psychical research to the cause of religion is enormous and it is not confined to the question of survival. Not the least of its contributions is in the extent to which it renders the Bible credible. It was materialism which for so many made the Biblical miracles so hard to believe. By demonstrating that the material is by no means all that is real, psychical research has rendered the miraculous far more credible. With the example of Dorothy Kerin before us, we need no longer boggle at the Biblical miracles of healing. With the modern examples of ESP around us, we can the more readily accept our Lord's ESP as literal fact and not as mythical hyperbole. In the light of modern cases of apparent possession, we shall be more cautious in attributing the Biblical accounts of possession to the recorders' immaturity of understanding of matters medical. With the evidence which psychical research provides of nonmaterial forces, we can the more readily accept at their face-value the Biblical references to angels and to devils. With experience of apparitions in our own time, we can the more readily accept the literal truth of the accounts of our Lord's post-resurrection appearances. In short, in the light of psychical research, the scepticism engendered by Victorian materialism is cut down to size. The Bible is not proved to be true; but much of it is shown to be within the bounds of possibility, and the leap of faith is removed from the category of a foolhardy act by a blind man into that of a responsible decision by one who has weighed the pros and cons. Excerpt: An interesting book, compiled and edited by Gardner Murphy and Robert O. Ballou in 1960, is William James on Psychical Research. 332 pp.
On page 15 James is quoted, “Anyone with a healthy sense for evidence, a sense not methodically blunted by the sectarianism of ‘Science,’ ought now, it seems to me, to feel that exalted sensibilities and memories, veridical phantasms, haunted houses, trances with supernormal faculty, and even experimental thought-transference, are natural kinds of phenomenon which ought, just like other natural events, to be followed up with scientific curiosity.” Read the whole article.

Rosa Shiels talks to the Christchurch writer of a Mass performed last week in a symposium in Romania:
A devotional work created in Christchurch, which seeks to unite all peoples of all religions, was performed last week at the International Unitarian Theological Symposium in Kolozsvar in Transylvania, Romania. The Sacred Energy – Mass of the Universe, which reflects traditional Christian masses, eucharists and communion services, was written by retired Methodist minister Bill Wallace. “Whereas most eucharistic liturgies view life primarily from an anthropocentric point of view, the emerging world view is cosmic and ecocentric,” says Wallace, one of the three most published hymn writers in New Zealand... He wrote the Sacred Energy liturgy to reflect this changing world view, where the human being is no longer the locus or central figure of the cosmos but part of the greater whole. “An enormous spirituality revolution is occurring,” he says. As the traditional religions lose their hold, people are turning to a wider spirituality. Sacred Energy, which contains hymns sung by the congregation, choral passages, a dramatic dialogue between human being and the universe, and prayer, combines words and melodies by Wallace with music settings by Barry Brinson, David Childs, Alison Carey, Graham Hollobon and Suzanne Lennon. While the work is structured like a mass, Sacred Energy attempts to reflect the unifying mysticism of Christ rather than the exclusive liturgies of the traditional church. “The thrust of mystical thought is that everything is one and everything is interrelated,” says Wallace. That is, not us versus nature but us in nature, as in: “Come let us think like mountain rocks/Come breathe the song of the scented breeze/Come join the atom's quantum dance/come weep with all the fallen trees”.
A non-denominational work, Sacred Energy can be used in parallel with existing liturgies or as a stand-alone choral presentation. So far, it has been used at the Napier Anglican Cathedral, the Methodist Conference of New Zealand and St Andrew's on the Terrace in Wellington. Overseas it has been heard in London, Vancouver and Sydney.
Wallace's hymns have been published and sung in the United States, Canada, Germany, the Philippines, Australia, and Asia, and his words for hymns and songs have been used by Catholics, Mennonites, Unitarians and Buddhists. His words are his strength, Wallace feels. “I seem to be able to put into words what many other people are feeling.”
He is also an artist-designer. Leadlight windows by Wallace are in the relgious studies department of St Andrew's College. A suspended glass sculpture hangs in the foyer of the Durham Street Methodist Church. An iron-and-wood sculture by him stands in the Hornby community care centre. A wood carving by him stands in the foyer of the Chapel of the Holy Family, formerly the chapel at Templeton psychopaedic hospital.
Victor James Zammit, B.A.(Psych), Grad. Dip. Ed., M.A.(Legal Hist.), LL.B, Ph.D, lawyer, Euro-Australian, is an attorney-at-law, Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the New South Wales and the High Court of Australia (ret.). More:
Victor has a site called “A lawyer presents the case for the Afterlife”. There, from week to week, he present a mass of entirely convincing evidence for its reality. With the links he supplies, it is possible to make a far reaching study of the subject. His “The Book” summarises the main evidence under 28 headings.
“What are the implications for science of the fact that psychic functioning appears to be a real effect? These phenomena seem mysterious, but no more mysterious perhaps than strange phenomena of the past which science has now happily incorporated within its scope.”

“There are many things I love about the Bible. One facet that is little appreciated is Biblical astrology. Not surprisingly I have found that this particular subject can infuriate a lot of people including scientists and fundamentalists, a surprising alliance. I have also found that most liberals are simply ignorant of it and dismiss it out of hand.”

To start with the back cover of this book:
“With 30 years of experience in Western medicine, Dr Kelly offers a compelling blueprint for deep healing in the 21st century; a healing that accepts that our bodies are truly human aerials, bound together and infiltrated by a fascinating network of connecting tissue perfectly designed to receive and transmit information, beyond our individual earthbound experiences. In so doing, Kelly begins to unravel the mysteries of telepathy, intuition, creativity, mediumship, channeling, sacred geometry, distant healing, near-death and out-of-the-body experiences.”
How well does the book measure up to the promises of its back cover?
With regard to presentation, the style is simple and personal. Difficult topics are dealt with so that lay people can easily get the gist. The print is quite large, the illustrations helpful. Kelly maintains our interest throughout the book.
It seems that Kelly by nature is sensitive and intuitive, and that this did not go well with general practice and the need to treat so many patients an hour to maintain profitability. Many of the physical disorders that he was called on to treat had underlying disorders of emotion and spirit, that should themselves be addressed in preference to quick prescriptions of pharmaceuticals. He began to explore Chinese medicine in some depth. He writes:
In New Zealand in the late eighties, a large number of doctors had learned acupuncture. Many were using it effectively, but only a few were willing to explore the philosophies behind Chinese medicine. Most doctors found it confusing, fanciful and mystical. They found it difficult to come to terms with the traditional Chinese view, based on Taoist principles, that the body is primarily energy, and that our organs, for instance our heart, liver and kidney, could also be linked with our emotions…. But a few of us were deeply intrigued. Some travelled to China: others read translated textbooks in great depth... Fritjof Capra's The Tao of Physics… struck a deep chord in me. [pages 29-30]
In reference to acupuncture he writes, “As the result of lightning strikes over the equatorial rain forests, our atmosphere is filled with just the right electromagnetic frequencies that allow growth and repair of our plant life. These are known as the Schumann resonances (7-10Hz), and they are as vital to all animal life as plant life.” [p.39] “Acupuncture needles are made of either steel or copper, and are literally conducting wires.’ [Aerials]
Robin describes the many uses of acupuncture. Read the rest of this review

Something quite spectacular occured just recently. Twice I participated in materialization mediumship experiments with David Thompson, highly gifted materialization medium, pictured. Last night seven etherics (spirits) actually materialized from the afterlife dimension. They actually had physical bodies just like us - they walked around the experiment room and touched me and others on the shoulders and hand- in the experimenting room. I had brief conversations with two of the materialized etherics. Two of them are internationally known - and have been in the afterlife for over thirty years. It has taken me days to recover from the shock of conversing with and touching materialized etherics. Fraud has been completely ruled out for reasons I will give in the report.Note carefully: the specific aim was to test to see if paranormal activity did take place – and it did. There was no attempt –at this stage – to validate the identity of the materialized etherics. That will come later on. Even if it found later that the materialized etherics are not who they claimed to be, that does not invalidate the materialization experiment. This is very exciting and most sensational - and will surely bring about a new revolution in the acceptance of the afterlife as the intention is to objectify and empiricise the materializations. Read the draft report and listen to audio tapes....
A number of highly respected scientists have studied materialisation in the past and concluded that it is a scientific fact. Read more...
