Vineyard On the Rock

Queenstown, Aotearoa New Zealand

We have moved...

The Church is now in residence in 7 Viscount Lane at this time. After 3 years in Shotover St. our time was up and we have relocated. We will build new a website to reflect our changes, in the meantime life continues. See our Contact Us page for info and directions.

who we are

Vineyard On The Rock is an orthodox and evangelical church moving in Pentecostal Power.

Janet and Chris Barrclough founded Vineyard On The Rock in 1996 after hearing God's call to minister to the visitors and residents of Queenstown. Meetings are informal and cafe-style, so that churchgoers and unchurched alike can feel comfortable coming to experience intimacy with the Creator.

The center is located in the heart of Queenstown at 7 Viscount Lane. Just a few steps from the most popular backpackers and venues, we desire to provide relevant ministry to the world through Queenstown's travelling population.

While Queenstown's "permanent" population swells to 17,000, the town hosts 2.8 million backpackers, travellers, and adventurers every year. This gives Vineyard On The Rock a unique opportunity to reach the nations from the church doorstep.

what we do

Vineyard On The Rock is structured differently than a lot of churches. We believe in a holistic approach to ministry, addressing the varied needs of our members and guests. Attempting to create an open atmosphere where people can find healing, therapy, guidance, and rejuvenation. We emphasise the importance of creatively addressing spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional needs in a relevant and dynamic way.
