Cats Eyes

Cats in the darkness
Slinking about
Eyes glow and flash
As they stealthily scout

Midnight encounters
Friendly they're not
Screeching and snarling
Homewards they trot
Demented cat
Marking their territory
Intruders beware
Elusive and cunning
Return to their lair
Playful puss Morning has broken
Play in the sun
If only a life like this
Could be won
