SEARCHING THE WORLD AT 80

Hi, I'm Sharon. I am Iris's daughter. Iris sadly passed away on 2nd September, 2006, aged 87. She lived in New Zealand and was on the internet for seven years.  She had been doing genealogy for many years prior to that. With her went a mine of information, although she has left many carefully organised files which in time, I may be able to piece together. I am keeping these pages as part of my own website and when I get my head back together, I will attempt to continue her work as best I can.

The sound you hear is not the globe above squeaking, but is the sound of a native NZ bird, the tui.
To see the bird click here, then press the back button to return to this page.

Here's a link with some wonderful pictures and information about New Zealand on it if you are interested:

Names she was searching are as follows:

Watterson, Waterson, Wilkie, Burling, Worsley
Knapp, Noakes, Curson, Radford, Chown
Topping, Young, Petersen, John Johnston, Nielsen

The tui was her favourite bird.  They were in the trees in her garden.  Click here to see what a tui looks like.
