Ellesmere Raceway is located on the Southbridge-Dunsandel Road, and is signposted from the Leeston Hotel corner.

2009 FEES:

Club Membership $10

CTRA Full License $50

CTRA Day License $20

WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY:

A CTRA full license is required to compete in CTRA South Island and National Championships.

Among the benefits are a track sanctioned by an approved national body that offers significant public liability insurance.

Competitors who hold a full license get 1 free gate admission per meeting.

CLUB DAYS:

These are more akin to a practice session where each class represented at the track will receive an alloted space on the Club Day programme. It is an ideal opportunity to try something new with your car, or even give someone a bit of time behind the wheel.

PRIVATE PRACTICES/ TRACK HIRE:

These are available from time to time. The EMRC reserves the right to decline 'Private Practices' due to ground conditions, unavailability of EMRC management or for any other reason. OTHER INFORMATION OF NOTE:

No other form of speedway license is valid at Ellesmere- SNZ, Federation etc.

All competitors are welcome to race at Ellesmere- provided that your class is scheduled on the programme. It is a popular misconception that Saloon Car drivers from SNZ tracks are excluded- NOTHING CAN BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH

Prize Money:

Last season Ellesmere paid out in excess of $5000 in Prize money at its meetings. For Championship meetings/events an entry form is issued that specifies the payout.

Other Classes:

Any other classes not programmed will be considered for inclusion at race meetings provided that they contact the Club President not less than 10 days before a scheduled race meeting. A 'minimum car numbers rule' will apply.
