Homestay and Gardens

We offer homestay accommodation in a rural environment close to Hamilton. At Saxon Lodge you will wake up to the "dawn chorus" - the birds greeting you and the morning. After a morning cup of herb tea, you can collect fresh eggs from our hens (the girls) and pick grapefruit and oranges in season for your breakfast. Our dog Sophie (a Pembroke Corgi), and our cat, Tara, will help! You may have to chase the wild ducks, rabbits and Pukekos (a native bird) out of your way!

The house was designed by a local architect and is a stylish New Zealand single storey home with high raked timber ceilings and built of brick and timber. We love it and would like you to enjoy it with us. There are two twin rooms and an open shower room for guests. We also have facilities for powered campavans and caravans.
