Dear Mr. Hodgson,

Thank you for your reply... which I received on 26 August.
After waiting more than three weeks for your response I am left with the impression that any suggestion of a "supply crisis" is illusory.
As expected, your response avoided any reference to my offer of weather modification...
Any intelligent strategy would have combined weather modification with power savings but instead you assert that "it is the role of electricity generators rather than Government to consider the commercial viability of utilising resources and technologies."
I presume that you would not have been compromised as Energy Minister if you had offered to facilitate a meeting between myself and the heads of the generating companies. The opportunity is still available to you.

Yours sincerely
John Porter
