Fairplay Agreement (updated on 28-May-00 )
The first Southern Area Schools Tournament of the new millennium is being hosted by the Roxburgh Area School from the 24 – 26 May and has been named "2000ROX" by the organising students. This tournament is an annual event and is hosted on a rotational basis by the six area schools in the lower South Island. This year Roxburgh will host Maniototo, Catlins, Lawrence, Twizel and Kurow Area schools and is responsible for organising the events and hosting the visiting students.
Each school will bring a team of 40 students who will compete with each other over a period of three days in a variety of sporting and cultural events. The venues for the various activities are scattered around the Teviot Valley from Millers Flat where the Rugby will be played to Pinder's Pond where the Triathlon is being run to the Roxburgh town and school where many of the cultural activities have been organised.NEWS & PHOTOS (Click here)
