What Room 3 has to say..

At the pool when we are swimming the older students come and help us. When we have simming sports the whole school works together. the school is divided into 4 houses and competitions in swimming, Road Race, Triathlon, Cross Country, Speech and music are held. We work together for the gala. Our school works as a team.

 

What Room 2 has to say...

Roxburgh Area School is like a big family - older students help younger students. They look after them on the bus, befriend them, help them, look after them in the playground and work as peer tutors sometimes helping with reading, swimming, and sports days.

Visitors are welecomed in the school. Area School tournament last year welcomed - students. The whole school was involved in some way.

Our house system means the younger and older students work together.

Japanese and other country visitors are warmly welcomed each year by the whole school.

Even though Roxburgh Area School is very small with only 194 students. With a small number of students our school is a friendly, caring environment and is what many students say "like a big family". The older students take care of all the younger students and the younger students look up to the older students.

Being in a county town doesn't limit the opportunities available to school students. Everyone isn't afraid to give everything a go, and this is what makes our school spirit so special. The only reason the school is like it is now is because of the amazing SCHOOL SPIRIT between staff, students and even the wider community!! .
