Root Don Lonie for Cash started out primarily as a label to release
cassettes & lathes by Armpit & also to release
the many solo & side projects by CJA & Sugar Jon. But
eventually Root Don Lonie for Cash started releasing other peoples music, like
Witcyst, Pumice, Prick Decay, the Hi-band, Birchville Cat Motel, the Ideal Gus,
Human Hand, etc, etc....
Sugar Jon came up with the
name Root Don Lonie for Cash (after a burst of automatic writing), it was glued onto the first
Root Don Lonie for Cash
release, the Naked Sailors Naked Man tape.
