I have not verified any of this pedigree.  It has been extracted from the History and Antiquities of Leicestershire Vol 4, part 2, and other secondary sources If you have any information to either prove or disprove any of this line I would be very pleased to hear from you.

Arms - Azure, three boars' heads cabossed, between nine cross crosslets Argent.
Crest - The boar's head, sword, and gauntlet.
Motto - He Kymero

1. Edmund CRADOCK b. est 1610, of Leicestershire, England, m. Anne. Mayor of Leicester in 1645, and 1657.  This family claims to be 'of the ancient family of Swansea'.  The arms, crest and motto are the same as that family.

3. Edmund CRADOCK bp  20 Dec 1640, Leicester, Leicestershire, England,  m. Mary,  d. 20 Feb 1716.   Edmund died 26 Aug 1716. Mayor of Leicester in 1702.  Monumental Inscription in St Martin's Church, Leicester, in the middle chancel on a mural tablet. "PMS Edmundi Cradock, gent. & Mariae uxoris ejus.  Obiit ille Aug 26 1716, aet 76; illa Feb 20 1725, aet 68.  Quicquid horum mortale fuit, Felicis spe resurrectionis, Prope hunc murum reconditur.  Tu interim eis semper memor, Hora enira dum non cogites, Extrema veniat dies".

Jul 1755, buried 11 Jul 1755, Markfield, Leicestershire, England.   Joseph died 1749.   He took holy orders after his marriage and was made Rector of Markfield 1699, by his noble relation, Henry, Earl of Huntington.  Made free of Leicester in 1691. M.A. of Clare Hall, Cambridge, 1710.

William CRADOCK b. est 1670, of Leicestershire, England,  m. 1709, in Belgrave, Leicestershire, England, Dorothy MASON, b. 1682,  d. abt 1734.   William died 4 Jul 1710, Peterborough, Northampton, England.   Described as 'of London, grocer'.  Ill health caused him to quit business, he obtained a supervisor's place in Excise at Peterborough, but, it being necessary to pass through some intermediate step, he was stationed first at Uxbridge, and resided at Hillingdon only six weeks after birth of his only son; after which he went to Peterborough, where he died in about a fortnight.  His widow went to Leicestershire to her mother, the widow BURDETT, they lived together for abt 20 yrs.

      iv Samuel CRADOCK b. abt 1724,  England, d. 31 Oct 1746,  England.   A twin with Mary.  Monumental inscription "Samuel Cradock, the son of the above mentioned Edmund and Elizabeth, who died the 31st of October 1746 in the 23rd year of his age, is buried under this stone."

Actor, writer, Sheriff of Leicester; Deputy Lieu. of Leicester.  He was good friends with John Bowyer NICHOLS, printer and antiquarian, who produced such books as "The History & Antiquities of Leicestershire", and who was also related distantly by marriage.

16. Norrice CRADOCK Esq. b. abt 1725,  occupation barrister at law, m. Elizabeth JERVIS or JARVIS, of Markfield, Leicestershire, England,  d. aft 1774.  Norrice died 24 Mar 1779,  buried: 28 Mar 1779, Markfield, Leicestershire, England.   One of the managers and granitors of the Royal Stables.

      i Elizabeth CRADOCK bp 15 Oct 1773, Markfield, Leicestershire, England,  d. Mar 1780,  buried: 11 Mar 1780, Markfield, Leicestershire, England.   Only child, died age 6 yrs.

18. Sir Edmund CRADOCK-HARTOPP, previously Edmund BUNNEY b. 21 Apr 1749, Leicester, Leicestershire, England,  m. Anne HURLOCK.  Sir Edmund was of Freby, Leicestershire; and of Fouroaks Hall,  Warwickshire, baronet. Only surviving son; born St Martins parish; took the surname and arms of Hartopp, by act of parliament, in Michaelmas 1777, pursuant to the last will and testament of Sir John Hartopp, bart, and assumed the surname and arms of Cradock, in observance of the will of his maternal uncle Joseph Cradock; created a baronet 30 April 1796.

Aug 1785, Warwick, England,   Warwick, England.  born at Merevale Hall, Warwickshire, and bp there.  Hath assumed, and intends to bear from henceforth, the name of Fleetwood before his surname of Hartopp, as a memorial of his lineal descent from Charles FLEETWOOD, lord deputy of Ireland under the protectorate of Oliver Cromwell, whose estates of Armingland Hall, co Norfolk, and of Wiffet le Roos, Co. Suffolk, are devolved upon Lady HARTOPP his mother.
