Cleaning & Painting

21/8/05 Frame painting

Applied two coats of gloss black, allowed to dry, then two coats of the clear. Because I'm an impatient b****r, thats all I allowed time for!

Now that the frame is painted, I turn my attention to all the bits and pieces which need cleaning, painting, and/or repairing - such as the battery box, the forks, headlight shell, instruments, triple tree, swingarm and rear disc brake stabiliser bar to name a few.

Thanks Andy!

Came across a website http://www.mypages.co.nz/~andyf/Honda.htm (well worth a look by the way) where the author had a couple of spare alternator covers… e-mailed him and he has generously donated one to me… thanks Andy!

18/9/05 - 25/12/05 - Cleaning and more cleaning

After a number of weekends of cleaning and buffing alloy parts etc, the next thing to be sorted is the engine...

Old paint mostly removed Another view The finished product!
