Amber spent seven years with "The Mermaids" from 1997-2005.  She was a member of the original lineup.  During 2004-2005 she recorded two albums with SonyBMG and left the band during this time, but rejoined in September 2006.

She had a top ten hit with her remake of the Janis Ian classic "At 17" and the album "Love and Such" achieved Gold sales in New Zealand.
