'Super Seahawk' ('30 foot' model)

'Super Seahawk':

As a result of client demand, Paratechnics has produced the 'Super Seahawk', for commercial operation.

Based on the earlier 'Jumbo Seahawk', the new canopy has a nominal diameter of 30 feet (9 metres), and is intended for tandem flying from specially equipped boats.

The first delivery of the 'Super Seahawk' was made in the South Island at Christmas 1997.

BASIC SPECIFICATION for 'Super Seahawk':

Canopy Area:

77m² (824ft²) approximately.

Materials used:

High performance ripstop nylon spinnaker sailcloth.
Polyester reinforcing tapes and thread.
Polyester rigging lines.
US Military specification parachute webbing and hardware.

RECOMMENDED LIMITATIONS:

Weight Range: 50 to 160 kg (110 to 350 lb approximately).
Max wind speed: 15 knots
Typical boat size: 9 m (30 ft) with parasail winch and launching platform.

Assembly Composition:

The Standard 'Seahawk' assembly consists of a 'Seahawk' parachute, two Super Seat harnesses with adjustable leg and waist straps, an integral hook-on or tie-on tow yoke, a kit-bag style carrying bag, and an operating manual. Various custom options are available to allow greater flexibility of use.
