Welcome to the World Citizen Project!

Dear Citizens of the World,

Please find the progress of the World Citizenship Project.

I would like to report that I sent the brochure, and a cover letter, to the heads of local bodies (councils) in New Zealand, specifically Regional Councils and City Councils. They have been supportive of the project and are keen to see it develop further. However, local government here does not have the ability to fund such projects, and a number of Mayors and Council leaders suggested that such funding would better come from national and/or international sources.

This project is also supported in principle by other organisations such as the International Association of Educators for World Peace (IAEWP); for further information on that organisation, please click here . This organisation has branches in 100 countries, and the World Citizens Foundation, which has over 500,000 members, is celebrating its 51st anniversary this year.

The project has now been formalised through the creation of a constitution – it is charitable.

Funding

The governments of Bangladesh and New Zealand are supporting the fund-raising drive. We would welcome anybody and organisations to contribute to funding of this Project.

Permission to administer the World Citizenship Curriculum in Bangladesh

We are very pleased to inform you that the government of Bangladesh has permitted us to administer the World Citizenship Curriculum.

•  We have outlined the Curriculum for School .

•  We have also outlined the Syllabus for the Bachelor Degree in World Citizenship.

Now World Citizenship Memberships are open. Forms are available .

Please fill in the form and send it to me for membership.

I am seeking your support for my project as detailed in this web site, and greatly appreciate any financial contribution you feel able to make to the MNN Trust. Please click here for more details.

Feel free to promote the project to your family, friends, and colleagues. Its success hinges upon gaining the support of as many people as possible. I am also keen to receive contact details of any organisations in your country which you believe would be interested in working with me on this project.

I will keep you updated on any new developments, and look forward to working with you in the future.

World Citizenship Music

We have now produced a World Citizenship Anthem plus nineteen songs. Please go to our products page for more details.

Radio programme

We have also completed a four-part Radio programme. Please go to our products page for more details.

The Cassette of the first Album together with a progress report of World Citizenship has been sent to the head of APEC.

I have also sent the World Citizenship Anthem song on audiotape to the 120 parliamentary members of New Zealand plus the Governor-General. I have sent copies also to the 87 New Zealand local Government Mayors and to about 60 residential Embassies of various overseas countries based in New Zealand. In addition to the above distribution, I have forwarded this audiotape to President George Bush, ex-President Bill Clinton (USA), Prime Minister Tony Blair (Britain), the United Nations, World Bank and many more to local people.

I am continuing to contact other members of the United Nations to inform them about the development of the World Citizenship Project.

Yours sincerely,

Muhammad Nur Nabi (Dr)
