Biography
Bernoldi was another Brazilian from a comfortable background who was inspired by the exploits of Ayrton Senna. he started kart racing in 1987 at the age of nine and won a variety of regional and national kart titles before heading for Europe at the age of The following year he won nine victories in European Formula Renault and took the title. This led to a deal to race in the British Formula 3 series with Serge Saulnier's Promatecme team alongside Nicolas Minassian.
