The Parnell Cricket Club was formed in 1883 following its affiliation to the Auckland Cricket Association.  In the 116 years the Club has been in existence it has produced many cricketing legends and has widely promoted cricket through both junior and senior levels.

The Club has been based at various venues such as Hobson Park in Remuera, the Domain and even Eden Park. It has resided at the Orakei Domain for the last 17 years and currently shares clubrooms with Teachers Eastern Rugby Football Club.

1992 saw the addition of a magnificent balcony by the Cricket Club to the clubrooms to substantially enhance the spectators' viewing facilities. These facilities provide a community base for some 750 members to enjoy cricket camaraderie.

The Club prides itself on developing home grown talent and currently has the services of former Club player and Auckland representative, Greg Wallace as club coach.
