Dear Instructors,

New Zealand Freestyle Martial Arts is holding its third multi-style tournament in Rongotea, Palmerston North on the 6th December 2003 starting at 9.30am.

The gym will be open from 8.00am for registration of the competitors and for the instructors to check through the draws to make sure that there club members are in the correct divisions etc.  

The tournament will involve  three events -  individual forms (kata) , weapons kata and points sparring ( kumite).


The divisions will be based on age, rank and gender where necessary.  A full list of the rules and entry forms are enclosed.  

The rules will be the same as last year’s event, devised from traditional systems through to freestyle to incorporate as many styles as possible. These rules will be demonstrated on the day, prior to the tournament commencing.  

Entrance fees will be as follows:

Pee Wee kata		$5.00		Pee Wee kumite		$ 5.00
Junior kata		$5.00		Junior kumite		$10.00
Intermediate kata	$5.00		Intermediate kumite	$15.00
Senior kata		$5.00		Senior kumite		$15.00
Weapons kata (all ranks)$2.00

There will be a spectator fee of  $2.00 per person, under 5’s free.
