Introducing Murray

I attended Melville Primary School and Hamilton Boys' High School before completing an apprenticeship in Fitting and Turning and gained my Advanced Trade Cert. In 1970,I left Hamilton to work for ABB Tasman, Kawerau.

In 1965 I became a born again Christian. Although I grew up in a Christian home , I did not become a Christian until I was challenged to make a decision for myself. What brought me to that point was the witness of my parents. They came to have a very real experience in Jesus Christ, and the change that came with that experience into our home impressed me to such a degree that I too wanted what they had.

I have never looked back since then growing daily in my experience with Jesus, seeing God doing some great things in that time. I have seen and experienced many miracles, such as legs lengthened, noses straightened, a knee healed instantly; and above all that, lives that are in a mess turned around and hurting people healed.

I have been employed on the Tasman site since 1970. Initially I was employed as a machinist in the machine shop but transferred to the Maintenance Technical Service department in November of 1975 where I am currently employed.

I enjoy the work I am doing which is primarily Vibration Analysis (VA) and Non Destructive Testing (NDT).

Outside of work I enjoy doing what I can with Janet to help strengthen families and especially marriages. Janet and I work with Marriage Ministries International and run "Married for Life" courses.
