Purpose of Organ Museum

Our reason for collecting and displaying these organs is that my wife and I were both raised in devout Christian homes, and we do not believe that the introduction of drums and guitars into the worship of God is acceptable. I wish I could tell you how much our parents taught us to treasure our great heritage of sacred music, and how for us, this heritage is the fruit of the wonderful sacrifice of our Saviour in dying for the sins of the world. Christianity is the 'singingest' religion in the world, and for us it is pure pleasure to have as many organs as possible playing together "Rock of Ages" or "Oh Sacred Head Now Wounded", "Abide With Me" etc., etc. To do all the good we can, we want to have the most impressive possible collection of organs, so that we will attract as many people as possible to come and see and enjoy. My wife is a church organist, and we are doing all we can to draw in all the organists we can find in this area. If any of you come this way, you will find us at 50 Tay Street, Woodville, and you'd be most welcome.
