Workbench File Managers
Directory Opus 4.16 is the latest public release of this great GPL Open source file manager. In current development by Jacek Rzeuski. If you do not have a file manager on your AMiGA, Directory Opus 4 is well worth looking at, free and one of my favorite utilities.
Note: if you are using a BETA version of Directory Opus 4 you should also run Sashimi to redirect Serial debug information.
I run Sashimi from my s:user-startup with the following line:
Run >NIL: sashimi BUFK=128 NOPROMPT ASKSAVE
Subscribe to the Direcctory Opus 4 mailing list on YahooGroups for help, information, bug reports and the latest BETA versions.
Download my Directory Opus config set up for LZX and ZIP. Colours and some buttons based on BlackOpus by Per Bergkvist (on DOpus4 homepage).

Workbench Replacements
Directory Opus 5.x MultiTasking file manager/Workbench replacement. Users of Opus 4.x can upgrade to 5.x at a discount rate.
Scalos is a Freeware (for the moment) Workbench replacement like Opus 5.x in some ways and Workbench in others.

SFS or SmartFileSystem is a replacement for the FFS or FastFileSystem that comes with Workbench (freeware).

OS Enhancers
MagicWB, nice looking Icons for a classic Amiga look. Many programes have MWB style icons. (Shareware)
NewIcons is a free Iconset with a more MAC/Windoze look! (Freeware)
MUI MagicUserInterface, needed for alot of Amiga internet software and other utilities. (Shareware)
Right click to download ToolsDaemon to add extra user definable menu items to the Workbench. There are others but I find this one best :-)
MagicMenu gives cool looking 3D look "sticky" and "popup" menus.
FastIPrefs fast loading background pictures and other features.
