Paneiri Park Results

A few brave souls ventured out into the night to try Pat’s twilight course. It was a perfect evening for it and if it wasn’t for Addi enjoying her quiet evening stroll we would have had an early finish! Once again we had the battle of the Martin kids. Both used ‘local’ knowledge on different parts of the map to cut the distance down, resulting in a close finish. Nic gave himself a handicap by heading away without a pen; the headlight was soon seen heading back in our direction.

Joy didn’t like the idea of running in the dark by herself, so did a test run of the long course in daylight with an unofficial time of 35mins. Tony just shouldn’t have run. After injuring himself at tennis, he thought an easy jog might help – wrong!

Future events:
One further town event will be held on Thurs evening 19 May at the Esplanade. Hopefully the weather will be better than last year!
It will be a 45min score event starting at 6.30pm from the Hockey carpark.In the interim we have the NZ Champs in Hawkes Bay over Easter with the North Island Schools champs in Taupo on the last weekend of April.|
The Manawatu Schools champs are at Ashhurst on Friday 20 May.
