Questions to ask yourself
Do you really believe that 'the Truth' (2x2 church) was "from the beginning"?
Are you more thankful for the day the Workers came into your life or for the day when Jesus came into your life?
Have you ever asked the workers questions and got satisfactory answers, or were you made to feel that you 'lacked faith', 'needed to submit more', etc. i.e did you come away feeling you had the problem?
Have you ever asked the workers to help you understand the Scriptures. If so what did they tell you?
Do you look down on outsiders, or see others as 'lost', especially other Christians?
Do you uphold the way, yet find some things 'hard to believe'?
Do you believe you must conform to certain rules, such as, wear your hair up, not wear trousers etc. if you are a woman, to please God?
Do you feel like you must attend every meeting or have to give a reason if you don't?
Do you believe the meetings are the only way - or do you believe that Christ died for all?
Do you believe that the workers are 'continuing' the work of Christ?
Are you held in 'the Truth' out of fear of losing out, of losing friends and family etc?
Do you notice that the workers take some Scriptures literally and some figuratively?
If you are disturbed by any of the above, you are not alone. You are entitled to ask questions and receive honest answers. If you do not receive satisfactory answers then go to some one who will give you the answers you are seeking. There are many people who are willing to talk to you and help you find the answers you are seeking. See contacts under In Defence of Truth
or email: lynnc@ihug.co.nz
Do not accept anything less than 'the truth'.
