GENERATION ONE:

1. ~ ~ ~ THOMAS BECHER was born in Puhoi, New Zealand.  He married ANNA BAYER in 1893.  Anna was born in 1873 and was the second daughter of WENZL BAYER and ANNA WENZLICK.  Anna died on 6 December 1913.

Children of THOMAS BECHER and ANNA BAYER were:

   JOHN THOMAS 2 BECHER, born 1894.

   ELIZABETH 2 BECHER, who married JOHN SCHOLLUM.

   JOSEPH BECHER, born 1895; died 1954 aged 59 years.

   ALBERT BECHER, born 1899; died 1899 aged 2 months.

   BARBARA ANNA BECHER, born 1900.

   THOMAS JOSEPH BECHER, born 1903.

GENERATION TWO:

2. ~ ~ ~ JOHN THOMAS BECHER (THOMAS)  was born in 1894 and was the eldest son of THOMAS BECHER and ANNA BAYER.  John married WINNIFRED ROSE FLYNN in 1916.

Children of JOHN BECHER and WINNIFRED FLYNN were:

   NANCY BECHER, who married KEITH EDMONDS

   MOYNA BECHER, who married WILLIAM MANUAL

    ERINA BECHER, who married HARRY BERGER

3. ~ ~ ~ ELIZABETH BECHER (THOMAS)  was the elder daughter of THOMAS BECHER and ANNA BAYER.  Elizabeth married JOHN ALBERT SCHOLLUM.

Children of ELIZABETH BECHER and JOHN SCHOLLUM were:

~ KENNETH SCHOLLUM, who married MONA DE LUCA

~ DONALD THOMAS SCHOLLUM, born Abt 1918.  Donald was a Lieutenant in the New Zealand Infantry during World War One.  He died on 13 August 1945 and was buried at Heliopolis War Cemetery in Egypt.  (Refer to my Roll of Honour for more information)

~ ALAN WENZL SCHOLLUM, who married GLADYS WARD

~ KEVIN GEORGE SCHOLLUM, who married BERTHA POLWART

~ IRENE BARBARA SCHOLLUM, who married JIM CHAMBERS

OTHER CONNECTIONS:

o         CHARLES BECHER, who married AGNES ROSE STRAKA in 1928.  Rose was born on 17 October 1892 and was the daughter of JOHN STRAKA and ROSALIE PLESCHER.

o         JOSEPH BECHER, born 1881 was the son of JOSEPH BECHER and ANNA BOTELSAK.  Joseph married BARBARA BAYER in 1904.  Barbara was the youngest daughter of WENZL BAYER and ANNA WENZLICK.

o         LESLIE JOSEPH BECHER, born 8 September 1915 was the son of JOSEPH BECHER and BARBARA BAYER.  Leslie married NESSIE MICKELL.  He died on 5 July 2002 and was buried at Piako Lawn Cemetery in Morrinsville.
