Steve visit page 3

Early morning off 5 Mile Bay, Steve hoping to catch that last minute big one before I drove him to Rotorua airport. But the fishing was very slow, we were only getting knocks on the flies that didn't hook up.

But finally Steve did hook one securely, and it was big.

But quite slim, a bit slabby still. Maybe in a couple of months it will be a beauty, today it was a catch and release. Perhaps we should have tried jigging for a big fresh fish on this calm morning. Still, Steve wasn't fazed, he enjoyed his visit and will be back.
