It's been a pleasant first week of January. Only 3 working days, great weather too, enjoying riding my motorbike to work each day. And looking forward to playing with my new toy on the weekend.

Here it is, looking a bit like a bundle of sticks. Hmm, so many parts. So spindly and fragile looking.

Several hours later, one Pouch RZ85 folding double kayak, with sailing options, age unknown. Looks classy to me. I painted my house similar colours once. Is that jib on upside down ? I'll check next time I put it up.

I will replace a few of the ropes, add a couple of cleats. Although it is really ready to use right now, I think I will wait until my brother Steve visits for a holiday in a couple of weeks before testing it on the water. The lake is a bit rough today anyway.

Meanwhile, I enjoyed just sitting and looking at it in the the garden, with the sails fluttering in the wind. Daydreaming of balmy days with gentle steady breezes.  It's clearly no racer, it looks to be made for lazy slow cruising, and that is just what I want.
