Stanley the Stork

Stanley the Stork went for a walk
In a park then paused by a puddle
When a girl and a man who were pushing a pram
Stopped for a kiss and a cuddle

The baby inside dropped its rattle and cried
For the love seemed to make it unhappy
Then is stood up and peered and as Stanley had feared
Fell out of the pram in it's nappy

The couple strolled on unaware it was gone
Young Stanley could hardly believe it
So Stanley the Stork abandoned his walk
And decided to try to retrieve it

By the time he had picked up the bundle and looked
The couple with pram had departed
So up Stanley flew for an aerial view
And that's how the rumour got started

Two elderly spinsters saw Stanley fly down
To the pram and put baby back in it
Said one to the other "That chap kissed her twice,
There'll be another one down in a minute".
