Mandy the Mouse

An aged mole on night patrol has just made this report
He spotted Hissing Sid last night and though is eyesight's short
He'd swear that Sid had slithered by with mischief on his mind
So pulling down his moleskin hat he followed close behind

And there in woodland's darkest dell Sid's got a mouse called Mandy
He tied her up with her own tail and stole her box of candy
Then swayed about before her eyes and sung a haunting tune
Sid claimed his power to hypnotise would make her sleep til noon

But halfway through the second burst the mole's brain went all numb
And falling backwards in a trance he slept til half-past one
He woke and freed the lady mouse, still tied up to the tree
Who hummed a rather haunting tune as she went home for tea

(Tuneless falsetto humming)

She, er, wasn't very good at humming
