CAREER HISTORY 2007-2008
My recent work has involved co-ordinating and managing design projects on a contract basis.
ARTA Cycle Mapping Projects for Auckland, North Shore, Waitakere, and Eastern areas.
• CAA Project Management: Western and Eastern Projects
• CAA Project Co-ordination: Auckland Central & North Shore
• CAA Consultant to Auckland City Council: Audit and Review of North-Western Cycle Route and 50km Cycle Route.
This work involved working with ARTA, local authorities, community stakeholders, and technical and communications specialists to assist in the preparation of a series of publications providing information on cycle networks around greater Auckland.
My role involved the general administration of the projects, including co-ordination of a surveying team, liaison with community interest groups and local authorities, and presentation and discussion of results with clients.
Co-ordination of the projects has involved interaction with officers of commissioning authorities as well as the management of the Cycle Action Auckland team of surveyors. The documentation of the projects also required considerable research and professional input in the specialist area of provision of urban cycle routes.
Cycle Action Auckland is a not for profit non-governmental agency which undertakes professional consultancy work in addition to its advocacy role for cyclists.

Involvement with community groups has been a rewarding and enriching part of my experience during this time, and I have used my administration skills to contribute to the running of various sports club committees, such as Diocesan Sailing Club, and to family-oriented community groups.
