Hello, and welcome to my Dumbass Terragen Gallery. Why is it Dumbass ? Well although Terragen certainly isn't a Dumbass program, my images are. These are the first ones I have made using Terragen, and aren't particularly spectacular. Perhaps one day I'll have a Spectacular gallery. So why did I make a gallery of them ? Well, for a start, I had nothing better to do this afternoon, and it's also quite a convenient way for me to view them. They are mostly 400 x 300, because I'm actually using Terragen, which at this stage is Windows only, on a Mac using a PC emulator. As I'm only getting around Pentium 60 speeds on my machine ( a PPC 604/166 with 512k L2 cache ) I've found it pays to limit the size of images being rendered. As you will see on each images page, even these can take a fair while ! Even so, it's great to actually be able to use it after only looking on in envy. Those of you with a 604e or a G3 shoud be able to get much better speeds, so go get it !

For those of you who don't know much about Terragen, it is of course a landscape generator/renderer, written by Matt Fairclough and his able assistants. Although still early in development, it shows great promise and I feel it will develop into the landscape generator/renderer of the future. Skip along to the Terragen website and check it out. I'd particularly recommend checking out Luc Bianco's gallery, found on the user galleries page, as well as the other excellent sites made by Terragen users.
