NetConfig and RiscFree

Information Download Support Links

About

NetConfig is an application which attempts to provide an easy way to configure internet applications under RISC OS. Support for one dialler (Socketeer) is currently provided, and the POPstar, Newshound mail fetchers are also automatically configured. NetConfig also supports the Oregano, Fresco, and Browse web browsers (support for WebsterXL is not available - if you would like to help, please email me).

Latest Versions

The latest version of RiscFree is 2.00ß1. It is so named as I have scrapped most of the old code and completely re-written it.

The latest version of NetConfig (previously RiscConfg) is 1.67ß2. This is actually more of a leap than you might imagine and it also includes some preliminary Internet stack configuration (this has been disabled in this version).

These versions are probably not quite finished, but I am releasing them in the hope that they will spark some greater interest in the programs.

Note Under no circumstances do I take responsibility for damaged or inoperable configuration files as a result of using these preliminary versions. However, NetConfig should not cause problems if there is no internet configuration already present.
