The Magical Mystery Hibiki Tour Character File

For those who aren't sure who all these additional characters are, we now present a guide to the main characters of the tour. All characters are from Ranma 1/2 unless otherwise stated.

Ryoga Hibiki
A strong, but shy Martial Artist, Ryoga has been Ranma Saotome's rival (and sometimes friend) for a long time and he has been hopelessly in love with Akane for almost the same length of time! Ryoga fell into the Spring of Drowned Pig in Jusenkyo and is very shy about revealing his curse, mostly because in his cursed form he is Akane's pet pig, P-chan! Ryoga is 21 at the start of MMHT.

Ukyou Kuonji
Ukyou is a dedicated chef, skilled in the art of making
delicious okomomiyaki. She is Ranma's childhood friend, engaged to him when they were six. Initially she tracked Ranma down to kill him for abandoning her, however, she changed her mind when Ranma called her 'cute' and fell in love with him. The only one of the 'fiancees' who really gets along with Akane, Ukyou often teams up with Ryoga to break up Ranma and Akane. She is 21 at the start of the MMHT.

Ranma Saotome A skilled Martial Artist, Ranma was cursed in Jusenkyo when he fell into the Spring of Drowned Girl. He was engaged (unwillingly) to Akane Tendo and, through various mishaps, he has picked up a number of fiancees which cause havoc in his life. At the end of the manga series, Ranma admitted he was in love with Akane. Akane Tendo
The youngest of the Tendo girls, Akane is noted for her temper and her bad cooking, but most of all she's regarded as a cute girl. Her relationship with Ranma has been very rocky and full of mishaps. Akane really loves Ranma, she just has a hard time admitting it! At the start of the MMHT she and Ranma are ready to get married.

Nabiki Kuno (nee Tendo)
The middle Tendo sister, Nabiki is well known as the most financially adept of the family. Always ready to make a quick yen, Nabiki has no qualms about meddling in the lives of her family and their friends! At the start of the MMHT Nabiki is married to Tatewaki Kuno.
Konatsu
Konatsu is the waitress at Ucchans. He looks and acts like a woman due to being brought up to be a female ninja. Konatsu was badly treated by his step-family and was "rescued" by Ukyou. Konatsu is in love with Ukyou and excessively devoted to her welfare.

Shampoo/Xian Pu
This cute Chinese girl comes from a strong Amazon Tribe near Jusenkyo. Ranma defeated her in combat (it was an accident!) and by her tribe's laws, Shampoo must marry Ranma. Shampoo is very persistant in her pursuit of Ranma and will try almost anything to win him. Shampoo is also cursed through Jusenkyo, she turns into a cat (Ranma's one great fear!).

Mousse/Mu Shu
Mousse comes from the same Chinese Amazon tribe as Shampoo. Mousse has been in love with Shampoo since they were children, but she refuses to have anything to do with him. Mousse is known as "the Master of Hidden Weapons" due to the large amount of objects he hides up his sleeves! At the start of the MMHT, Mousse has left Nerima, finally tired of Shampoo's constant rejection.

Mikado Sanzenin

Ranma, Ryoga and Akane encountered Mikado during the 'Charlotte Cup' incident. Mikado and his partner Azusa Shiratori were the infamous 'Golden Pair' of ice skating. Mikado is a notorious womanizer and managed to kiss Ranma-chan on the lips at one point. At the start of the MMHT Mikado has split his partnership with Azusa.
Yusaku Godai (Maison Ikkoku)
Yusuku lives in a crowded old apartment building called 'Ikkoku', is a sweet guy, hopelessly in love with his apartment manager, Kyoko. Yusuku has struggled hard in university and in employment trying to find his place and win Kyoko's heart.

Miya and Suka (Koko Wa Greenwood/Here is Greenwood)
Kazuya Hasukawa's (Suka for short) life has not been the same since he started at Ryokuto Academy, there he met Shun, Shinobu and Mitsuru who made his life insane! However, it is through them he met his second (and best) love, Miya.
Kiyone (Tenchi Muyo!/No Need for Tenchi!)
Kiyone is a detective first class of the Galaxy Police assigned to Earth as a resident officer with her bumbling partner Mihoshi. Kiyone's life is very stressful, mostly due to Mihoshi!

Mitsuru and Shinobu (Koko Wa Greenwood/Here is Greenwood)
Mitsuru and Shinobu are Suka's seniors from Ryokuto Academy. They enjoy teasing him a lot, but they have his best interests at heart. Really. Honest.
Shun Kisaragi (Koko Wa Greenwood/Here is Greenwood)
Shun is Suka's high school room-mate, he looks like a very pretty girl and is often mistaken as such. Nothing much bothers Shun, not even the antics of Shinobu and Mitsuru who are frequently up to something!

Hikaru Kazeten (Original character)
Kazeten is an old enemy of Ryoga's that Ryoga didn't even know he had. Ryoga beat him up in elementary school for bullying younger children and he's been looking for him ever since to extract vengeance. He's very arrogant and concious of his social position.

The Tenchi Muyo Crowd (Tenchi Muyo!/No Need for Tenchi!)
Tenchi Masaki was a normal teenager, until he met up with the Space Pirate Ryoko, the Juraian princesses, Sasami and Ayeka, the Galaxy Police officers, Mihoshi and Kiyone and the mad scientific genius, Washu! Mihoshi, Kiyone's bubbleheaded partner and the scourge of her career, is the blonde in the bottom right corner.

Akari and Katsunishiki
Akari is a girl who likes pigs a lot. Ryoga dated her a couple of times towards the end of the Ranma 1/2 manga after he successfully defeated her sumo pig in combat. At the beginning of the MMHT, he has just broken up with her.
Tsubasa Kurenai
This cute girl is actually a cross-dressing guy. Tsubasa is a master of disguise and hopelessly (and annoyingly) in love with Ukyou. At the beginning of the MMHT, Ukyou is still trying to get rid of him.

Kasumi Tofu (nee Tendo)
Kasumi is Nabiki and Akane's older sister. She is married to Dr Tofu at the start of the MMHT. She is always calm and totally reliable. Which is just as well really, considering her family.
Dr Tofu
At the beginning of the MMHT he is happily married to Kasumi. They have one set of twins already and another set on the way. Oh my.

Kyoko Otonashi
Kyoko married as soon as she graduated High School, but her husband died only 6 months after the wedding. After this, she took on the job as manager of Ikkoku where she met Godai. However, Kyoko is not ready to commit to another man and thus continues to leave poor Godai in limbo!
Tatewaki Kuno
Kendoist and strangely delusional, Shakespeare-spouting rich guy. At the beginning of the MMHT, Kuno is married to Nabiki.

Soun Tendo
The father of Kasumi, Nabiki and Akane. He meddles far too often in Akane and Ranma's lives. But not as much as Genma.

Genma Saotome
Ranma's father. Cursed at Jusenkyo to turn into a panda, Genma is totally irresponsible and most of the stuff that happens to Ranma is his fault. Ranma and Akane probably would have been married well before the MMHT if these two had just left them alone.
