"Saehara was quite
put out with you today," Satoshi Hiwatari noted as
he paced along with Niwa. He wasn't quite sure how the Niwa had done
it, but somehow over the last few weeks they'd begun walking home
together. "He managed to frighten everyone ELSE at school with his
"YOU weren't scared, Hiwatari-kun," Daisuke pointed out.
"Well, no." After Krad, insects held very little horror.
"I can't help it," Daisuke shrugged. "Roaches, rats, spiders, I don't
have any problem with them."
Satoshi considered this. "Storms?"
"Enclosed spaces?" He asked slyly.
Dark stared at him out of Daisuke's eyes. "It'll never happen, Hikari."
"Hmph," Satoshi looked away. "You must be afraid of SOMETHING."
"Dark says quit trying to find a weakness, that's cheating."
Satoshi didn't reply, and the rest of the walk was accomplished in
"Well, goodbye," he said as they arrived at the Niwa house. "I suppose
I'll be seeing you tonight."
"Tonight?" Daisuke stared at him blankly.
"At the museum?" Satoshi prompted. "The glass exhibition? With the
Hikari glass sculpture of the rabbit in the moon?"
A look of horror settled on Daisuke's face. "But... but..."
cheerful voice rang out from the house behind him.
"Daaaiiisssuuukkkkkeeeee!!! Momma's got a new outfit for your heist
toniiiiiight!!! It's got ribbons."
Satoshi watched with interest as the phantom thief's host blanched pure
"So, there is something you fear..."
"And I have the CUTEST little outfit for the freaky Hikari boy
/Run/, Krad's voice echoed in his head. /Run NOW./
But it was too late.
