Japanese Womens Rugby / Toray Kids / Chutairen Wakuwaku Festival `99 ‚í‚‚í‚Õ‚è If you like to dance `til you drop, this is the festival for you! In the middle of the hot, humid Japanese summer everyone lets their hair down on the 31st of August. This year about 70 groups did their own dance to the Wakuwaku song for two hours in the early evening. I joined in the fun as part of the Nagaizumi International Exchange Association`s team. And yes, it was a heap of fun! By the way, the word "Wakuwaku" means to "Bubble over with energy ! The boys and girls of the International Exchange Association. There might be some familiar faces for Wanganui people.....especially the Takada "twosome" at the front! Show `em how it`s REALLY done Simon! He got the gold! No, not olympic gold. "Gambatteru" gold! It`s the "going for it and giving it heaps" gold medal.
