Global warning

There’s real changes on out there
global warning’s in the air
birds think winter’s spring
flowers think spring is in
there’s global warnings for all to see
forest fires … lack of trees
phantom waves … rising seas
polar bears with deformed genitals
brought about by industrial chemicals
there’s global warnings in the air
rivers flood through more rain
others dry through none again
frogs are dying mysteriously
all ‘round this world for all to see
there’s global warnings in the air
pollution has no boundaries clear
it spreads its poisons like Chernobyl
often silent often noticeable
a horrendous price on natures lovable
there’s global warnings in the air
cities bulge and spew their fumes
while country sides become abused
through soil depletion and erosion
open mines and closed opinions
market forces and debunked ‘isms
there’s global warnings in the air
rocket science to frightened fear
and a collective will by more and more
to not become a festered sore
like ones that need a final lancing
a putting down no time of pasturing
nature’s foes exist no more
there’s  global warming in the air
now nature’s called will we hear
her pendulum’s swing for harmony
or ostrich like refuse the call
taking nature’s patience past it’s boil
there’s global warnings in the air
with one chance to see it clear
these global warnings everywhere!
