SATIRE

A silent view
The Tangi
has past on now …
the one
on over the way,
last farewells
all said
a memory has been made.

The Guests Marquee
seems limp
and abandoned now …
by souls
who cried and played;
I, have watched them chant
I’ve watched them grieve
for nigh on now
four days.

The Tangi
has past on now
it’s body has been laid
close
to where the souls sung,
souls … that kept
the spirits at play.
Haere ra.
