Post Soviet Era Rotary

It was the French ,led by a Parisian  Jacques Collette ,who were instrumental  in getting the Bucharest Rotary club rechartered in 1992 . Five years on in 1997 Rotary in Rumania  counted 13 clubs ,with a good 500 Rotarians & 3 Rotaract clubs . The Bucharest Rotary club has 3 honorary members . Jacques Collette , Patrice Waller the President of the Paris Rotary Club at the critical time and the Ambassador of France to Rumania ..A sure good Rotary tie to France ….and the names of the new clubs ???

Bucharest, Timisoare,  Cluj,  Iasi,  Constanta ,  Brasov,  Sibiu, Arad,  Alba Iulia ,Tirgu Mures,  Ploiesti,  Ramnicu,Valcea, and  Baia Mare

Recognise a few from the pre war list ???  I make this 80%  of the pre war clubs being reconstituted  plus 6 others ….Not bad going !!
