The Labour Members of the Select Committee have reported to parliament that;
"We have been unable to reach agreement and therefore cannot recommend that the bill be passed"

Will the same three Labour Government Members vote against the Bill at its second reading?

EVEN AN AMMENDED BILL IS NO-WIN FOR NEW ZEALAND!
The present government has a deplorable and autocratic history of totally ignoring petitions, public opinion, the indepth findings of royal commissions, and extensively researched, costly (millions of dollars) taxpayer funded parliamentary select committee recommendations.

The Labour Party members of the Select Committee have listed some sixty-eight amendments that they would have recommended in the Bill. However, even with ammendments to the Bill we will still have total Australian dominance of our health system.
Aussie Rules are a NO-WIN proposition ... The Bill must be defeated to totally close the door.
Special note:—
The phraseology – 'we would have recommended' is in the past tense, however, along with the 68 indepth initiatives, it does indicate that the Labour Members have thoroughly read and comprehended the Bill and in their considered judgment have found it to be deficient with regard to New Zealand’s standard of acceptable legislation and they cannot recommend the Bill be passed.

The Labour Party is doggedly determined that the Bill is passed. WHY?
The Labour Party is disgracefully dumping its responsibility for the quality and control of New Zealand’s Health into the hands of an Australian Company. WHY?

This private Australian company stands to make hundreds of millions of dollars out of enforced New Zealand servitude...
This Bill will give greater powers of enforcement to the Australian company than New Zealand’s own Police Force, State Owned Enterprises and the IRD...
New Zealand First is supporting this Bill under the mistaken belief that it will control pharmaceutical medicine...
Under this Bill it will be business as usual for pharmaceutical medicine and the loss of quality, safe and effective dietary supplements and natural health care therapies.

Is this really what New Zealanders want? ...or should we expect more thoughtfulness, consideration and concern from Parliament in the governance of our country and the care of its citizens? ...would Australia surrender its health sovereignty to a private New Zealand organisation established under New Zealand Law?

As a voter I am opposed to the adoption of the “Therapeutic Products and Medicines Bill” and the enactment of the Australian New Zealand Joint Agency Treaty and will not vote for a Member of Parliament or a political party that votes in favour of (or abstains from) the “Therapeutic Products and Medicines Bill” and I will encourage my family, friends and contacts to take the same action in preparation for the coming elections.

The Therapeutic Products and Medicines Bill must be removed from the Legislative Agenda, and the Australia New Zealand Joint Agency Treaty be rescinded.

I am in favour of Parliament instructing the Parliamentary Health Select Committee to investigate and call for submissions on the setting up of a separate user pays Authority, by New zealanders for New Zealanders, specifically for the regulation of Dietary Supplements, natural healthcare products, natural healthcare therapy and devices and report to parliament accordingly.
