In 1987 we already had three young children and a busy life,
but we found ourselves drawn to adding an extra dimension to our family by
adopting a baby with special needs.
After 15 months of expectant waiting and the bitter
disappointment of hearing of three babies who did not become ours, the
social worker phoned to say she wanted to show us some photos of a
suitable baby……….
