Statisphere – your gateway to official statistics
Statisphere is a new web site managed by Statistics New Zealand
which provides the public with a gateway to official statistics.
Launched at the Key Statistics User Conference in October 2005 ,
the website provides access to official statistics from a range
of government agencies
Lyall Payne , project manager for the Official Statistics Programme , said ,
“ The portal will make official statistics from the whole of government
more readily available .
It will allow anyone to find what they want without having to trawl through individual sites “
You can search the site by using the A-Z subject directory
or the government agency Search.
The A-Z directory allows you to easily search for topics ranging from
adoption to quad bikes.
The government agency search list 37 government agencies,
whose names you can click on to go to the list of statistical
resources they have available on their site.
