Community Services Card

New Income limits for Community Services Card

More people will be elegible for a Community services Card from 1st April 2007
following the increase in income limits announced by Government.

Income limits increase annually in line with the consumer Price Index adjustment
to social security benefits.

The Community Services Card helps beneficiaries , superannuitants and working people
on middle to low incomes to meet the costs of health care.
It means their families pay less for visits to the doctor and for prescriptions.

People who have previously applied for a Community Services Card and have been
turned down on income grounds may now qualify and are encouraged to apply again
if their income is under the new limits.

Application forms can be obtained by phoning 0800 999 999 or
from Work and Income service centres , or
