A former Chief Executive of Gen-i Limited, I was one of the very few CEOs of significant New Zealand companies who progressed to this position from Chief Information Officer roles.

Gen-i was a successful $150m+ New Zealand company which employed 800 staff over eight centres in New Zealand and Australia. The company was sold to Telecom New Zealand  in July 2004.

The role at Gen-i followed Chief Information Officer roles at Air New Zealand, Sky Television, Progressive Enterprises and other New Zealand corporations. While much of my career was associated with the delivery of information technology solutions to business problems, it also included finance, logistics and sales and marketing leadership roles in major corporations.

I have leadership and line-management experience in the information technology, petrochemical, manufacturing, retail, pay television and airline industries, and have consulted to organisations in the design, health, IT services, telecommunications, travel and utility industries.
