| Standsedge: bus services between Huddersfield and Oldham (Manchester on Sundays) pass the door of Globe Farm. | |
| Hebden Bridge: frequent weekday train services on the Liverpool-Manchester-Leeds line. | |
| Haworth: the private Worth Valley line connects Haworth with Keighley and a British Rail station. | |

| Dufton: the nearest public transport is at Appleby (5 kilometres away) where there is a station on the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle line. | |
| Alston: coaches from Alston to Haltwhistle via Slaggyford and from Alston to Penrith (tel Carlisle (0228) 48484). | |
| Greenhead and Twice Brewed: hourly Carlisle-Newcastle buses through both these places (tel Carlisle (0228) 48484). | |
| Bellingham: Tyne Valley Coaches runs a service to Hexham where you can get a train to Newcastle. | |
| Byrness: a school bus runs to Bellingham and a daily City Link bus stops here between Newcastle and Edinburgh. | |
