| A short distance from the busy port of Dover, the cliff
top path wanders across green fields with the chalk cliffs falling to the sea.
To get to this spot, leave the railway station and head for the seaside. Dodge
the tourists and icecream carts as you walk along the seawall towards the main
port and pass under the motorway servicing the port. A steep path then gains
the top of the cliffs in a scrubby area with a good view back to Dover Castle.
A few minutes later the noise of the port is left behind when the path ducks
around this corner for pleasant progress through the fields. |
