CASE STUDY 1 Detailed
analysis of the effect of changing the main doors of use - continued
The son on the other hand had like his mother, been using a door which was located in the very best sector of the house for him. The door here was also facing his best direction. The father however, by using the same West located/facing entrance as the mother had been using a door which was in the very least favourable sector of the house for him and faced the worst possible direction for him. The result? While using this door the mother's business had been growing and her income increasing while the father's/husband's appeared to be in decline to the point where he had been very stressed and just wanted to take an early retirement. As mentioned above the son was doing extremely well both academically and within his chosen field of sport. After the burglary it was decided to install an alarm system into the house and, as this had a timer on it, the whole family changed its habits and began to use the South located/facing back door which had until this time remained primarily unused. (see diagram). It was from this time that things in the house began to alter. The father very soon after was able to unexpectedly take his much cherished early retirement and life dramatically relaxed and improved for him. He was enjoying good health, and pursuing interests he had been unable to for several years. The mother's circumstances on the other hand had taken a marked turn for the worse and she was now having to work much harder for the same or less returns. Concerns were expressed about this as if they were going to be able to increase their overall wealth as a family unit, their chances were dependant on the mother's earning capacity. Likewise the son, although still doing well at school and in his sport, was not getting the results he had been expected to gain. He appeared simply to be coasting along rather than working to his full capacity and naturally his parents were very concerned about this.
